A day in the shoes of a moms 1st birthday party.
The anticipation leading up to the party had me unable to sleep I was worried that we would not have enough room. We decided to throw her party at this place called My Gym. It is a place for children ages 6 months to I think 8 to take classes. Here is the link to anyone who is interested. http://www.mygym.com It is nationwide from what I understand. Anyway so the day of her birthday we ALL woke up super early to get everything started. I had everything planned pretty much down to the minute it was REALLY hectic but we managed to get it all done and I was not too stressed out. Olivia's cake turned out perfect Katie and I picked it up around 10 am and then ran to a few stores to pick up last minute stuff. Rob and my mom headed to Sams Club to get the trays of Fruit, Veggies, and Turkey wraps. then it was back home to get Olivia in the tub and ready for her nap. Then we had to get the cars packed, I had 25 gift bags for kids, four coolers with drinks, all the food, table cloths, streamers, 3 cakes, silverware, plates, you name it I had it. Next we had to steam her TUTU which was easier then I thought it would be. By the time all this was done Mical-anne and I were on our way to pick up coffee from Einsteins and set the party up. The tricky part about my gym is you only have 15 minutes to set up. Me being the crazy mom that I am had everything opened and ready to go all it needed to do was be set out. I could just hope that my mom had Olivia ready and that she would be on time. So the only thing left was the arrival of the guest of Honor and all her friends then the party could start...

It's amazing how much goes into a party!!! And we women do it so well! I'm just like you- I can't sleep, I plan every little detail, etc. You did a great job. =)
